Talent Solutions Partners in the Capital Region is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to lead client engagements for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. The role offers a direct-hire, on-site position in Latham, NY with an established local team and the resources of a larger regional organization.

Responsibilities include managing federal/state compliance, planning, reviewing returns, mentoring staff, and developing new business opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license preferred.
• Progressive public-accounting experience.
• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Experience serving closely held or owner-operated businesses.
• Demonstrated client-relationship management capabilities.
• Previous staff supervision, coaching or team-leadership experience.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, professional judgment and executive presence.
• Current Capital Region residency or willingness to relocate.

Aufgaben

• Manage relationships with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
• Oversee federal and state tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements.
• Review returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Advise clients on tax‑planning opportunities and broader business matters.
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets and client expectations.
• Supervise, coach and develop Albany-area employees.
• Coordinate client work and technical resources across multiple offices.
• Help transition and strengthen longstanding client relationships.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.
• Support selected accounting, bookkeeping, review and advisory engagements as appropriate.
• Build relationships within the Capital Region business community.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business.
• Participate in the office’s long‑term growth and strategic direction.
