CDD in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral support to adults with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA treatment plans, BIPs, and skill-acquisition programs under BCBA supervision.
• Provide direct behavioral support during daily routines and community participation.
• Use positive behavior supports, reinforcement strategies, de-escalation techniques, and crisis-intervention procedures.
• Collect objective behavioral data and complete service documentation, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Model behavioral strategies and support staff in implementing interventions consistently.
• Assist with behavior assessments and plan updates while promoting dignity, independence, and self-determination.

CDD is looking for a compassionate, skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral support to adults with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Working under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and skill-acquisition strategies that help individuals build greater independence and participate more fully in community life.

What You Bring

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Knowledge of ABA principles, positive behavior supports, data collection, crisis prevention, and de-escalation.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, documentation, and person-centered support skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and agency requirements.

Preferred

• One to two years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges.
• Experience implementing ABA interventions or Behavior Intervention Plans in community-based, residential, or human-services settings.
