Fortinet is seeking a Regional Systems Engineer to collaborate with an Account Manager in a defined territory. The role focuses on supporting the sales organization in pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.

Responsibilities include qualifying leads, serving as the main technical resource on calls, and assisting customers with post-sales training and issue resolution. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, with significant LAN/WAN and security expertise. Travel is expected.

Qualifikationen

• 5–8 years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer
• 5–7 years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration
• Strong understanding of DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP
• Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, IDS, antivirus
• Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies
• Strong presentation skills
• Regional Sales Engineer travels to customer sites as part of role

Aufgaben

• Pre-sales: qualify sales leads from a technical standpoint
• Sales calls: be the main technical resource on calls and educate customers and partners on features and integration
• Post-sales: be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for issues and coordinate with support/engineering
• Provide post-sales training to identified customers
