Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Systems Engineer to collaborate with Regional Account Managers across the regional territory, providing technical pre-sales, on-sales, and post-sales support to drive informed customer decisions.

You will be the primary technical resource on sales calls, address features and integration questions, and work with support and engineering to resolve complex issues while educating customers and partners.

Qualifications

1-3 years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
3-5 years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
Proven understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
Knowledge of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, IDS, and Anti Virus.
Understanding of protocols: RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
Experience with encryption and authentication technologies.
Exceptional presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
Sales calls - main technical resource on sales calls and educate customer and partner on features, specifications and functionality, including integration.
Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
Post-sales - lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and coordinate with support and engineering to resolve issues.
Provide post-sales training to identified customers.
