Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Two plus years of experience in leading sports events, practices, and inventory of equipment.
• Experience coaching youth and volunteer coaches in athletic competitions.
• Experience leading groups of children with the ability to engage and inspire youth.
• Commitment to serving the greater community.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both oral and written.
• Attention to detail and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall sports program including rules, policies, standings, and forms for sports seasons.
• Organize practices, games, and regional tournaments; ensure safe and inclusive environment.
• Plan and implement positive sports programming during after-school programs.
• Coordinate training for coaches and referees to promote understanding of rules and sportsmanship.
• Maintain participation data for grant reporting and inventory of equipment.
• Assist in creating and maintaining events and field trips tracking systems.
