Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Regional Service Technician to provide direct support to all branches within the region. The role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or software issues, performing preventive maintenance, and testing equipment to verify performance.

You will maintain detailed logs, support shop technicians, and travel 50-75% across the region. A strong safety mindset and tool proficiency are essential, along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience.
• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Will need to provide mechanic's tools of trade.
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess a high degree of safety-awareness.
• Working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements.
• Prior floor care equipment experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel 50-75% - frequently requiring overnight stays.
• Ability to travel throughout the region as required.
• Excellent communication, organizational and change management abilities.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record history.
• Must own and be able to effectively and safely use mechanic's tools and equipment.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, isolate, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or software issues using systematic methods.
• Follow manufacturers requirements in performing preventative maintenance.
• Operate and function test equipment to verify machine performance.
• Maintain meticulous logs of work orders, parts inventory, asset conditions, warranty and repair history.
• Support, train, and guide shop technicians on service, safety and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
