Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Washington, DC area is seeking a Regional Service Technician to provide direct support to all branches within the region. You will diagnose, isolate, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or software issues and ensure preventative maintenance per manufacturer requirements.

You will operate test equipment, maintain meticulous logs, and mentor shop technicians on service and safety best practices while traveling 50-75% to support field operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Must own and be able to use mechanic's tools.
• Ability to travel 50-75% and overnight stays.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, isolate, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or software issues.
• Follow manufacturers' preventative maintenance requirements.
• Operate and test equipment to verify machine performance.
• Maintain logs of work orders, parts inventory, asset conditions, warranty and repair history.
• Support and train shop technicians on service and safety best practices.
