Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Regional Service Technician to provide direct support to all branches within the region. You will diagnose, repair, and service mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software systems on our diverse equipment fleet.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, testing machine performance, and maintaining detailed work orders and asset histories. Travel is required 50-75% with overnight stays as needed; strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experience.
• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
• Will need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record history.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, isolate, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or software issues using systematic methods.
• Follow manufacturers requirements in performing preventative maintenance
• Operate and function test equipment to verify machine performance
• Maintain meticulous logs of work orders, parts inventory, asset conditions, warranty and repair history.
• Support, train, and guide shop technicians on service, safety and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
