Job summary

Seedway, a division of GROWMARK, seeks an Asst Mgr, Regional Sales PNW in West Richland, WA to manage seed sales activities and support field teams. You will lead calls with customers, drive profitable growth, and coordinate seed trials and programs with regional managers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in agriculture/marketing or related field and at least 4 years of seed selling experience, plus a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. A strong customer focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Normally requires a Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, marketing, or related discipline and at least 4 years of seed selling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated GROWMARK core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to travel independently and overnight.
• Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal.”
• Participation in required training on GROWMARK policies and procedures and related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conducts seed sales calls with targeted customers and assists crops specialists with key account calls.
• Implements company goals and objectives to grow the seed business and develop profitable customer relationships.
• Provides leadership for seed trials and seed support needs.
• Assists with and implements seed sales strategies that generate profitable sales.
• Implements innovative sales programs and pricing strategies.
• Participates in selected sales activities, e.g. customer meetings, trade shows, sales meetings to stay current on sales trends.
• Creates and manages farm proposals with value-added seed products and recommendations.
• Expedites resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Keeps accurate records of sales and prospecting activities.
• Maintains knowledge of product applications, market conditions, competitors, and promotional trends.
• Quotes prices, prepares sales contracts, and promotes credit programs.
