Job summary

AEP is seeking a Region Security Coord in Abilene, TX to coordinate investigations of security matters and ensure proper security measures across facilities. The role requires liaison with law enforcement and the ability to manage security across a large geographic area.

The position emphasizes training, policy communication and ongoing risk assessment, with travel up to 40% and a focus on safeguarding personnel and assets in a broad service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree with 3 years security experience, or high school with 10 years experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in sworn law enforcement, active military, or corporate security.
• Overnight travel up to 40% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Recommend security personnel levels and ensure security measures are in place.
• Liaise with federal, state and local law enforcement for vulnerability assessments and security needs.
• Develop and coordinate physical security including equipment, procedures and methods.
• Direct and coordinate investigations with company personnel, contractors and local law enforcement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal employees, contractors and local law enforcement.
• Coordinate and assist in security policy training and communication.
