Job description

Job Summary: Licensed Regional Sales Representative for Luzerne, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Monroe, Columbia, and surrounding counties. This is a field-based position, representing Geisinger throughout the assigned region.

Job Duties:

  • Cultivate new sales of Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO plans, and Medicare supplemental plans.
  • Influence community-based organizations to build collaborative relationships, develop prospects, promote interest in products, and support relationships with existing strategic partners.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in the designated region.
  • Deliver sales presentations to Medicare-eligible audiences in group and home settings.
  • Present the managed care concept to employer groups and unions.
  • Develop short-term and long-term regional sales strategies and ensure their effective execution, adjusting as needed based on enrollment and environmental changes.
  • Increase membership in the Medicare line of business.
  • Support community, business, and legislative events to promote sales and community engagement.
  • Maintain and support strategic partner relationships.
  • Market Geisinger Gold within the community, including provider offices, senior centers, and high-rise buildings.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. The role requires compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. The statements herein are not exhaustive but represent typical elements necessary for successful performance.

Must already be licensed to sell Health Insurance.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales and 1 year in health insurance/managed care.

Certifications and Licenses: Health Insurance License.
