Purpose of Position:

We are actively seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to become a vital part of our team. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving significant sales growth and enhancing our market presence within the Western region. The ideal candidate will utilize their strategic acumen to develop comprehensive plans that align with our business objectives while also managing and motivating sales teams to achieve their targets.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Regional Sales Manager will play a crucial role in building and nurturing strong relationships with clients. This involves understanding their needs, addressing their concerns, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction to foster loyalty and repeat business. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a deep passion for sales, demonstrating both leadership and innovative thinking as they contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assigned Region in the manner in which to drive strategic growth by developing opportunities, closing sales to meet/exceed the business’ sales objectives.
  • Activities include identification and qualification of sales opportunities to generate a qualified pipeline.
  • Necessary to exceed the region’s goals. The pipeline will be the full responsibility of this RSM to nurture and close on its opportunities.
  • Effectively manage the channel partners for sustainable growth by continually providing training, attending ride-alongs and end-user meetings.
  • RSM is also responsible for maintaining the appropriate DP %, and prudent use of their travel budget.
  • Liaison between field and the business regarding trends, competition, and other activities.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting, product portfolio feedback to manager.
  • Attend trade shows, distributor events by participating in both regional and national events as needed.
  • Work with others on the Commercial Sales team, customer care, marketing, product management, etc. to ensure flow of business operates as smoothly as possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 5 or more years within the US tactical industry.
  • Ability to manage region’s business by being decisive.
  • Ability to manage region’s business by also being open to change.
  • Collaborative skills to accept and incorporate ideas into strategies.
  • Time management and organization in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to recognize and stay ahead of trends.
  • Proficient with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) applications.
  • Strong written skills to be able to provide status, weekly reports, presentations, review packages, and assist with proposals.
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and work within cross-functional/cross-divisional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Travel will mainly be limited to the region of US but flexibility to travel nationally is required.
  • Strong presentation skills are required to make presentations to potential partners, customers, government entities, and internal management at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in a variety of data collection and survey techniques.
  • A demonstrated capability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Proven experience in the First Responder areas.
  • Prior experience in PPE sales.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work Remote is $100,000 to $150,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
