Job summary

Churchill Hughes is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to grow our Texas and Southern US presence in power transformers and high‑voltage electrical equipment. You will lead strategic initiatives with utilities, EPCs, developers and infrastructure customers to win major projects.

You should bring 5+ years in US power industry sales, established relationships with utilities or EPCs, and a proven record of navigating technically-led sales cycles across transformer/substation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical sales or business development in US power industry.
• Existing relationships across utilities, EPCs or major electrical infrastructure customers.
• Strong understanding of transformer and/or substation projects.
• Experience managing complex, technically-led sales cycles.
• Ability to develop a territory rather than just managing existing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Developing new business across Texas and the wider Southern US.
• Building relationships with utilities, EPC contractors and major power infrastructure customers.
• Identifying upcoming transformer and substation projects.
• Developing relationships with engineering, procurement and commercial decision-makers.
• Managing opportunities from initial specification through quotation, negotiation and award.

• Monitoring market activity, major infrastructure projects and competitor positioning.
• Supporting the company's broader US growth strategy.

Regional Sales Manager - Power Transformers

Churchill Hughes is representing an international power equipment manufacturer as it expands its presence across Texas and the Southern United States.

We are looking to speak with experienced commercial professionals with an established background in power transformers, substations, transmission & distribution or high-voltage electrical equipment.

This is a key growth hire with responsibility for developing the company's presence across the Texas power market and building long-term relationships with utilities, EPC contractors, developers and major infrastructure customers.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Developing new business across Texas and the wider Southern US
• Building relationships with utilities, EPC contractors and major power infrastructure customers
• Identifying upcoming transformer and substation projects
• Developing relationships with engineering, procurement and commercial decision-makers

Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience selling:

• Power transformers
• Distribution transformers
• Medium or high-voltage electrical equipment
• Transmission and distribution infrastructure
• Grid or utility equipment

You should ideally have:

• 5+ years of technical sales or business development experience within the US power industry
• Existing relationships across utilities, EPCs or major electrical infrastructure customers
• A strong understanding of transformer and/or substation projects
• Experience managing complex, technically-led sales cycles
• The ability to develop a territory rather than simply manage existing accounts

Texas market experience would be particularly valuable.
