Pay Range
$135,600.00-$186,500.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. This position is also eligible for an incentive bonus.

Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager- East Region is responsible for providing overall management and leadership for sales activities within the assigned geographical region to ensure sales and earnings objectives are achieved. The region spans from Maine to Florida. The ideal candidate will live on the East Coast near a major airport. This is a remote work position with regional travel; a company car with a gas card is provided.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and drive sales strategy for the Performance Materials division within JM in the Eastern region
  • Monitor market needs, competitive policies, channels of distribution, advertising, promotion, pricing, and sales activity; make recommendations accordingly
  • Prepare and issue reports to management to proactively address commercial opportunities and issues
  • Build strong relationships with customers (distributors, contractors, owners) to understand their needs and find profitable solutions
  • Partner with Operations, Customer Service, and Marketing to create and deliver value to customers
  • Manage sales staff: set quotas, evaluate performance, develop and train personnel, and recruit new staff
  • Oversee sales planning, forecasting, and participate in sales and inventory processes
  • Implement marketing programs to meet sales and market share objectives
  • Evaluate sales processes for efficiency and cost reduction, coordinate with Six Sigma initiatives
  • Ensure legal compliance in product and system sales
  • Manage regional budget
  • Lead sales efforts for new product launches in specified segments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of sales experience in manufacturing and 2 years in sales management
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with building product sales/marketing channels
  • Proven track record in achieving sales goals, managing teams, and building customer relationships
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the value chain
  • Customer and market focused, results-driven
  • Experience managing sales representatives
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Basic financial skills and ability to analyze markets and product lines
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions; accommodations available for disabilities
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license; willingness to travel (~50%) with 12+ overnight trips per month
