Pay Range
$135,600.00-$186,500.00 annually. This base salary varies based on experience, skills, and education. The position is also eligible for an incentive bonus.

Role Overview
The Regional Sales Manager for the East Region is responsible for leading sales activities within the assigned geographical area to meet sales and profit goals. The region spans from Maine to Florida. The ideal candidate will live on the East Coast near a major airport. This is a remote work position with travel within the region. A company car and gas card are provided.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies for the Performance Materials division in the Eastern region.
  2. Monitor market needs, competitive strategies, distribution channels, advertising, pricing, and sales activities, making recommendations as needed.
  3. Prepare reports for management to anticipate and address commercial opportunities and issues.
  4. Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and find profitable solutions.
  5. Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and Marketing to create value for customers.
  6. Manage sales staff, set quotas, evaluate performance, and oversee training and development.
  7. Lead sales planning, forecasting, and participate in sales and inventory processes.
  8. Implement marketing programs to achieve sales and market share goals.
  9. Evaluate sales processes using continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma.
  10. Ensure legal compliance in all sales activities.
  11. Manage regional budgets.
  12. Lead efforts for new product launches at specifications and contractor segments.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of manufacturing sales experience and 2 years of management experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with building product sales/marketing channels.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals, managing teams, and building customer relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the value chain.
  • Customer-focused and results-driven.
  • Experience managing sales representatives.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Basic financial knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented with strong process management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze markets, product lines, and marketing programs.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to drive and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Heavy travel required (about 50%), including overnight stays.
