Job summary

STIHL Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to cover the Mid-Atlantic Territory. This role leads a field sales team, grows the assigned territory, and partners with dealers; relocation to the Richmond, VA area is a possibility.

The ideal candidate will live in or near Richmond, VA, or be willing to relocate, with strong leadership, travel readiness, and a background in sales management.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office and web-based programs.
• Demonstrates effective time management.
• Willingness for extended overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Directs staffing and coaching to maximize sales in the region through the field sales team.
• Manages relationships with large dealer groups at the corporate level.
• Plans and attends STIHL U training and dealer/customer-specific sessions.
• Conducts sales analysis and supports promotions; prepares region performance reports.
• Supports field sales initiatives (new dealer development, market analysis, BER, EDGE).
• Coordinates regional/branch sales meetings and dealer events to promote STIHL.
• Maintains dealer/customer relationships and assists Territory Managers with promotions.
• Handles daily admin tasks (emails, scheduling, task coordination).
• Analyzes field sales reporting (CRM, calendars, monthly reports, territory data).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
