THE JOB:

UpSnack Brands is seeking a dynamic Sales leader that thrives in a fast-paced, high growth environment, where they have the opportunity roll up their sleeves to drive profitable growth for Pipsnacks. This role manages all sales activities for regional and independent Natural & Grocery Customers in the Eastern US. Responsibilities include building business with new customers, key account management, planning, forecasting, and data analysis to drive new business, increase velocities, build market share, and increase brand awareness –all while establishing long-term partnerships with customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being scrappy and is ready to roll up their sleeves.

This role will require a proven track record with experience profitably building a high-growth brand through strategic management of existing and new Natural/Grocery retailers, and broker partners. This candidate will be key in identifying and developing strategies, tools, resources, and processes necessary to continue our strong growth trajectory. It is essential for a candidate to embody a growth mindset, have a bias toward action, demonstrate a strong ability to problem solve, and enjoy the challenge and rewards of delivering results. This person must be organized and be a strong communicator who is looking to be part of an exciting, fast-paced, innovative company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver on Annual Operating Plan targets (gross sales, net sales and trade/ other expenses).
  • Grow distribution and topline revenue with a focus on regional and independent retailers.
  • Develop and own annual customer strategies, planning calendars, process, and implementation.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly Sales, Trade Spend & Consumption (SPINS) reporting, providing commentary on key trends and KPI performance versus prior year and budget.
  • Manage consumption reporting (SPINS) and perform analyses as directed to inform business decisions (i.e. category trends, promotional dynamics, competitive analysis, etc.) and MAPS (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, Shelving) guidelines.
  • Maintain Monthly Broker Scorecards, highlighting areas of success and opportunity at aggregate level and drill down to actionable insights.
  • Own forecasted sales for new and existing customers using data and updated trends.
  • Create strategic and profitable trade spend programing to achieve sales goals and improve promotional performance.
  • Ability to mine syndicated category data (IRI, SPINS) and own presentation deck updates that are tailored to retailers that will achieve a successful outcome.
  • Create, develop, and present effective sales presentations.
  • Measure and analyze key performance indicators (including ROI).
  • Recommend appropriate trade shows for your channel and represent the company at national and regional/distributor trade shows/events to promote product sales.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Have a minimum of 2+years CPG sales experience.
  • Deep understanding of Natural Channel & Grocery landscape at every level (retailer, distributor, broker, etc.)
  • HQ Sales Planning experience in addition to field selling a plus.
  • Creative problem solver with high level of personal accountability and results orientation.
  • Ability to excel in a hands-on, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an infectious enthusiasm for growing the business.
  • Understanding of Sales KPIs and ability to effectively build trade plans, forecast & analyze existing and new business.
  • Highly curious with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Outstanding Teammate –builds commitment and creates a fun, high-performance environment in leading teams without direct authority.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and have a good grasp on analyzing category data (SPINS, IRI).

OTHER DETAILS:

  • Salary $85k-95K+benefits and bonus.
  • Location: Remote –Prefer in Eastern or Central US and willing to travel extensively as needed.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.
