Job summary

PermAlert, a growing division within Perma-Pipe Inc., is hiring a Western Regional Sales Manager to drive direct and channel sales in data center and mission-critical facilities. You will manage key accounts, engage engineering consultants, and expand regional partnerships with value-added resellers and integrators from our Rolling Meadows, IL office.

The role requires 5+ years in technical sales, experience with building automation or HVAC, and a proven ability to develop channel partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ technical sales experience with preference in data center vertical.
• Experience in technical sales of building automation, alarm systems, life safety and/or HVAC systems.
• Experience in building relationships with engineering consulting firms is highly desirable.
• Strong track record in developing channel partners.
• Bachelor or advanced degree in technical field preferred.
• Familiar with typical sales cycle through data center projects and low voltage devices is strongly preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively present across multiple levels within an organization.
• Proficient in computer skills ideally experience with take‑off tools such as Bluebeam and Adobe etc.

Responsibilities

• Direct selling to key accounts primarily in the mission critical facilities that includes data center, clean room manufacturing (semiconductor), OEMs etc.
• Target engineering consultants to promote and adopt specifications.
• Collaborate with technical team, operations and management to meet sales objectives and manage customer expectations.
• Develop and manage regional channel partners to improve market share, revenue growth and profitability across different market sectors.
• Qualify inbound leads, convert them into sales opportunities, and close deals.
• Drive identification, prospecting and creation of new sales opportunities.
