Job summary

Perma-Pipe Inc is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to grow the PermAlert business from our Rolling Meadows, IL office. You will drive direct and channel sales to data centers and critical facilities, building strong relationships with end users, consultants, and partners.

The role requires 5+ years in technical sales within data centers, building automation, life safety, or HVAC. You will manage channel partners and participate in marketing activities while adapting to market trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ technical sales experience in data center or related field.
• Experience in technical sales of building automation, alarm systems, life safety and/or HVAC systems.
• Experience building relationships with engineering consulting firms is highly desirable.
• Strong track record in developing channel partners.
• Proficient with take-off tools like Bluebeam and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Direct selling to key accounts primarily in data center and mission critical facilities.
• Target engineering consultants to promote and adopt specifications.
• Collaborate with technical team, operations and management to meet sales objectives and manage customer expectations.
• Develop and manage regional channel partners to improve market share and profitability.
• Qualify inbound leads, convert them into sales opportunities, and close deals.
• Drive identification, prospecting and creation of new sales opportunities.
• Work with internal teams to develop RFP/RFI responses, proposals and submittals.
• Participate in tradeshows and other marketing initiatives to raise product awareness and sales.
• Provide feedback on market trends, pricing and competitive landscape to product/engineering teams.
• Collaborate with pipe division to support projects where leak detection is part of the solution.
• Update CRM tool information and maintain accurate forecasting.
