Job description

Underground Solutions is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Washington, DC, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, and West Virginia Region. The position is remote, but you MUST live within the region.

Underground Solutions (UGS), a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions Company, is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing companies in the water infrastructure and electrical conduit market. UGS has a portfolio of proprietary and patented technologies targeting water and wastewater infrastructure improvement and undergrounding of electrical conduit.

Responsibilities
  1. Define and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales plans and quotas for pipeline infrastructure products in the specified territory. These include Fusible PVC piping, TerraBrute CR restrained joint PVC piping, Vylon closed profile PVC piping, and Primus Pipe Liner.
  2. Generate and qualify leads for development. Perform key account planning to identify, develop, and close business opportunities by working closely with consulting engineers, utilities, contractors, distributors, and electrical utilities to develop long-term relationships.
  3. Maintain all sales activity and opportunities in Salesforce CRM, contributing to sales reporting, forecasting, and activities.
  4. Develop a thorough understanding of UGS products and document market intelligence, including market size, buying practices, and decision makers.
  5. Conduct sales calls and product presentations to meet customer needs.
  6. Recommend proposal and contract prices, develop bid strategies, create bid estimates, and close orders.
  7. Contribute to marketing communications and product portfolio decisions.
  8. Conduct variance reporting to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in technical sales within the water industry, consulting engineering in the municipal water market, or direct technical sales.
  3. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems, and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  4. Goal-oriented, self-motivated, good listener, and effective time management skills.
  5. Ability to process complex information and interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills, persuasive, motivating, and empowering clients and colleagues.
  7. Excellent communication skills, initiative, and discipline to work independently.
  8. Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to client and vendor sites.
