We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to amplify MUSH’s portfolio of products in the regional grocery segment.

Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing our brand presence across regional grocery chains and independents. This person will work closely with distributors and brokers to drive sales, expand product assortment, improve product placement, and build strong relationships within this sector of grocery. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, energetic, and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in sales and a passion for building relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across regional grocery chains and independents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Distributor and Broker Management:

  • Collaborate with distributors and brokers to maximize product distribution and sales.
  • Train and support distributor and broker sales teams.
  • Develop and implement joint business plans with key distributors and brokers.
  • Monitor distributor and broker performance, including annual and quarterly goal-setting and KPI tracking, providing feedback and guidance as needed.

Retail Execution:

  • Ensure product availability and optimal placement in retail stores.
  • Work with retailers to implement promotional programs and merchandising initiatives.
  • Conduct store visits to monitor product placement, pricing, and promotional execution.
  • Gather and report on competitive activity and market trends.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams to support sales efforts and achieve business objectives.
  • Provide input on 4P strategies within the independent and regional grocery sector.
  • Communicate regularly with sales leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the CPG industry, with a focus on grocery retail.
  • Experience working with retailers, distributors, and brokers.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel (~50%) within the assigned territory as needed.

Compensation:

  • Compensation estimates are provided in good faith at the time of job posting. Job Offers may vary based on the Candidate’s education, certifications, job-related knowledge, skill, and experience. MUSH may pay more or less than the posted range. The range may be modified in the future.
  • Salary range: $95,000-115,000 + annual bonus potential. Bonus payments are contingent on the Company + Individual achieving performance goals.
