Job description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales of MOCON Permeation and Package Testing products and services for the US North East territory and for the development and implementation of sales strategy to achieve sales target and win in a competitive market. This position requires customer interactions that include maintaining relationships with direct quotes to direct end users, while growing and driving partnerships with new accounts. Within this role, the Regional Sales Manager will be the main sales driver for the Permeation and Package Testing product lines in the territory and work closely with Product Management, Inside Sales, and Marketing Communications to hit budgeted targets and ensure customer satisfaction.

Management Responsibility:

  • Playing a key role in the sales growth of the company by achieving the assigned revenue target for the region.
  • Review yearly sales plan and update the current quarter’s plan.
  • Forecasting of orders and revenue by month, quarter, and year.
  • Observing the defects in the sales strategies of the product line and making/recommending improvements.
  • Participate in company’s sales meetings and various conferences/seminars.
  • Work with Product Management to stay current on competition/technology and sharing regional insights.

Territory Responsibility:

  • Territory consists of US North East territory.
  • Managing territory utilizing CRM and sales enablement tools.
  • Managing the pipeline broken out by states and product groups and segments.
  • Works with customers for forecasting and purchase order gaining.
  • Obtain new orders through effective use of in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Maintains good relationship with customers and become a resource for them.
  • Manages customer commitments and obligations, knows how to close sales negotiations.
  • Understand different sales process techniques, or different selling systems, to obtain sales goals.

Position is remote based within USA specified Territory, preferably Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or other North East location close to a major airport. Required travel can be 50% or more if needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or extensive technical experience.
  • 5+ years in sales position that included travel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Effective internal/external communication and negotiation skills with a strong customer orientation.
  • SalesForce, Salesloft, Epicor, Concur experience a bonus.
  • Motivated, team player that can also work independently.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position, 8-hour work day, 5 days a week. Standard business operation hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require additional hours of work as requested by business needs.
Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $75,000

Salary Maximum: $95,000
