Job summary

Velan Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth in an assigned geographic region, building a network of authorized distributors and developing direct relationships with customers.

You will train distributors, visit end users, EPCs, and OEMs, and support master purchasing and MRO agreements while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires extensive travel within the region and a strong technical sales background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of B2B industrial sales experience, with distributors and channel partners.
• Knowledge of valve products and applications; familiarity with power, oil and gas, petrochemical industries.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a network of authorized Velan distributors across your region, supporting their growth and performance against targets.
• Train distributor personnel on Velan products and sales tools, ensuring knowledge of resources and technical support.
• Join distributor sales teams on customer calls and visits to end users, EPCs, and OEMs to promote Velan products at the point of sale.
• Develop direct relationships with key end users, EPCs, and OEMs to secure Velan’s position in corporate specs and AMLs.
• Deliver product training at customer sites, covering features, benefits, and Velan’s compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate timely quotations, order follow-up, and on-time delivery as the primary link between customers and Velan corporate teams.
• Host key customers and distributors on visits to Velan manufacturing facilities and head office.
• Keep records of sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts in CRM and submit territory/expense reports on schedule.
