Job summary

GQR Healthcare is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead a team of Clinical Sales Specialists across multiple markets, driving strategy into field execution and building a high-performing culture.

The ideal candidate has rare disease experience in cardiovascular and rheumatology, with a proven track record of exceeding targets. Expect 75–80% travel and residence in one of the listed locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales teams.
  • Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing high-performing field sales organizations.
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy and HUB dynamics and patient access is required.
  • Strong knowledge of reimbursement and healthcare environment trends.
  • Cardiology and/or rheumatology experience strongly preferred.
  • Rare disease experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with injectable therapies preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75–80% of the work week by air and/or car.
  • Candidates must reside in one of the listed locations.

  • Ensure the team compliantly educates Healthcare Providers and their staff regarding company products and disease-state information.
  • Analyze regional performance, market dynamics, customer insights, and trends to identify opportunities and develop action plans.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Operations, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders to maximize performance.
  • Develop and execute regional business plans to achieve financial and qualitative objectives.
  • Support the team in navigating specialty pharmacy and HUB dynamics and patient access barriers.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent and create opportunities for growth and advancement.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished, dynamic Regional Sales Director to join a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on advancing innovative therapies in cardiovascular disease.

This leader will oversee, coach, motivate, and inspire a diverse team of Clinical Sales Specialists (CSS) who are responsible for compliantly educating healthcare providers and their staff. The Regional Sales Director will translate company strategy into strong field execution, build a high-performing culture, and drive sustainable business results across the region.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a demonstrated track record of leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales organizations to consistently exceed business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing field sales organizations.
  • Proven record of consistently exceeding financial and/or quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals.
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy and HUB dynamics and patient access is required.
  • Strong knowledge of reimbursement and healthcare environment trends.
  • Cardiology and/or rheumatology experience strongly preferred.
  • Rare disease experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with injectable therapies preferred.
  • Experience in Marketing, Sales Operations, or other commercial support functions is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate strategy into effective execution.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75–80% of the work week by air and/or car.
