We are seeking an experienced and motivatedRegional Sales Account Manager – Midwest/Eastto join our growing sales team and drive business development throughout the Eastern United States.

This position will be responsible for developing new customers, expanding existing accounts, and building long‑term relationships with food manufacturers, co‑manufacturers, distributors, and brands utilizing specialty food ingredients.

The ideal candidate is arelationship‑driven, commercially minded sales professionalwith a strong understanding of the food industry and a proven ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and convert prospects into long‑term customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage sales throughout the Eastern United States.
  • Identify, prospect, and pursue new business opportunities with food manufacturers, brands, co‑manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing, R&D, QA, operations, and executive‑level contacts.
  • Grow existing accounts by identifying additional product, application, and business opportunities.
  • Generate new opportunities through cold outreach, industry relationships, referrals, trade shows, networking, and other channels.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through sampling, product evaluation, approval, pricing, and commercial launch.
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate samples, specifications, documentation, pricing, logistics, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and accurate sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and activity updates.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, pricing, and emerging customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, customer meetings, and other business‑development events.
  • Travel throughout the territory as needed for customer visits, trade shows, and sales meetings.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key accounts and identify opportunities for long‑term contracts, stocking programs, and recurring business.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who isentrepreneurial, self‑motivated, driven, and comfortable taking ownership of a territory independently.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably withinfood ingredients, food manufacturing, foodservice, or CPG.
  • A proven track record of developing new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Existing relationships within the food manufacturing or ingredient industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • The ability to understand technical product information and effectively communicate its commercial value to customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent follow‑through and the ability to manage multiple customer opportunities simultaneously.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Eastern U.S.

  • Growth and retention of existing accounts.
  • Development of a strong and qualified sales pipeline.
  • Conversion of samples, trials, and product evaluations into commercial business.
