Job summary

Hillpointe is seeking a Safety Manager to lead workplace safety initiatives across apartment communities, construction projects, and facilities. The role focuses on reducing injuries, mitigating operational risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting fire and life safety programs.

You will supervise safety inspections, conduct training, and maintain documentation while coordinating with HR on injury reporting and corrective actions. Regional travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum five years of safety management experience in construction, property management, multifamily housing, or related industries.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, incident investigations, and risk management principles.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, compliance reviews, and training programs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting operations across regions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and electronic incident reporting systems.
  • OSHA 10 Certification; Basic NFPA Fire Safety Certification or equivalent within 60 days; Preferred OSHA 30, CSP, First Aid/CPR, ICS Training

Responsibilities

  • Lead workplace safety initiatives across Hillpointe's communities, projects, facilities, and offices.
  • Focus on reducing injuries, mitigating risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting fire/life safety programs.
  • Serve as regional incident response resource, provide safety training and inspections.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and track corrective actions to completion.
  • Coordinate with HR for injury reporting and preventive actions.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective action recommendations.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and safety standards are upheld across locations.
