Position Summary: The Regional Safety Operations Manager will evaluate, design, and implement standardized procedures at HCC with the goal of mitigating safety, health and environmental risks and bringing operational excellence to the Crystal Clean (CC) organization, including Patriot Environmental Services (PES). This position will focus on Health & Safety (70%), Operations/Quality (20%), and Environmental initiatives (10%). Based out of Charlotte, N.C., responsibilities extend across the southeast region of the U.S.

General Duties
Health & Safety
  • Assist in developing proactive behavior-based safety strategies and oversee their implementation to enhance organizational safety culture.
  • Serve as the regional Safety point of contact for the Industrial Services segment, developing and reviewing SOPs, JHAs, HASPs, etc., and ensuring safe operations.
  • Lead health and safety initiatives within CC/PES, focusing on the IS segment but also supporting all facilities and personnel within the area.
  • Engage as a key Safety Operations Team Member, focusing on health and safety, and supporting company-wide programs such as EHS procedures, training, regulatory reporting, PPE assessments, safety audits, OSHA engagement, injury management, and emergency responses.
  • Conduct job site visits, incident investigations, safety audits, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Interface with occupational health clinics, develop safety training content, and lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Operations
  • Implement proactive solutions to operational risks, track key performance indicators, and develop continuous improvement strategies.
  • Support the management of change process, develop standardized operating procedures, and promote consistency and accountability across field operations.
Position Qualification Requirements

Must be able to travel approximately 40%, available for emergency calls outside work hours, and possess a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, excellent communication skills, and experience in industrial/field services. A bachelor's degree in EHS, safety, or related field is required, along with relevant certifications and 8-10 years of relevant experience, including managerial roles.
