Job summary

Irby Construction Company is seeking a Regional Safety Manager (Transmission) to lead safety across transmission construction operations. You will partner with regional leadership to implement consistent safety practices and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client requirements.

This role demands hands-on safety leadership across multiple projects and locations. The position emphasizes coaching safety professionals, conducting field observations, and driving continuous safety

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in transmission power line construction.
• Ability to influence and support employees at all levels.
• Professional safety certification such as COSS, COSM, OSHA 510/OSHA 500 or BCSP.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and utility-safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional safety leadership for transmission construction projects and field operations.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to reinforce proactive safety culture.
• Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections for compliance with safety requirements.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Review project safety plans, job hazard analyses, and pre-task planning.
