Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to lead health and safety programs for 5–10 distribution centers in the assigned region. You will drive SIF/pSIF reduction, partner with site leaders, and mentor safety staff while traveling to sites as needed.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in safety/science, 7+ years of EHS leadership, and CSP preferred, with strong data analysis and incident investigation skills. This is an onsite role with a comprehensive safety program culture.

Qualifications

• Progressive EHS leadership experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or similarly complex operations.
• Experience leading enterprise or regional initiatives focused on SIF/pSIF prevention and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with operational leaders and influence safety performance through collaboration.
• Advanced knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional safety strategy with a focus on reducing SIF and pSIF risks and embedding risk management into daily operations.
• Administer programs in accordance with policies to identify critical exposures, evaluate control effectiveness, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with Regional Directors and site leaders to embed safety into processes and strengthen accountability.
• Lead complex incident investigations and learning reviews to identify systemic factors and ensure corrective actions.
• Analyze safety and operational data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Conduct regular site visits and travel 25%–50% to assess risk and promote continuous improvement.
• Champion a culture of learning, engagement, and accountability.
• Support workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, inspections, and regulatory activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop safety professionals across the region.
