Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Senior Safety Manager to provide regional leadership for health and safety programs across 5–10 distribution centers. You will drive the implementation of safety strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) risks while mentoring site personnel and traveling as required.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Safety, this role emphasizes strategic execution, audits, incident investigation, and performance analysis to improve safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing safety programs across multiple locations in distribution, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or similar operations.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
• Proven experience leading enterprise or regional initiatives focused on SIF/pSIF prevention and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with operational leaders and influence safety performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional safety strategy to reduce Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) and pSIF risks across distribution centers.
• Administer programs per policies to identify risk exposures, evaluate control effectiveness, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with Regional Directors and site leaders to embed safety into processes and improve performance.
• Lead complex incident investigations and learning reviews to identify factors and ensure corrective actions.
• Analyze safety and operational data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Conduct site visits and field engagements; travel 25% to 50%.
• Promote a culture of learning, engagement, and accountability for risk reduction initiatives.
• Support workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, regulatory inspections, and compliance.
