Job summary

Chaparral Co. seeks a Regional Safety Manager to lead field safety across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. This role owns site-specific safety planning, JHAs, and audits, working closely with foremen and crews to turn documentation into real hazard control.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction safety, OSHA 30-Hr, and proven incident investigations. Travel across the region is required, with a focus on high-profile multi-project sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience with field-facing leadership.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction training; OSHA 500/510 preferred.
• Experience writing SSSPs, JHAs, and GC safety submittals.
• Proven incident investigation and OSHA recordkeeping experience.
• Strong written communication with GC/owner safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, submit, and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans and JHAs.
• Lead field safety audits, document findings, and drive corrective actions.
• Coach foremen and safety personnel on hazard recognition and controls.
• Serve as safety point of contact with GC/owner safety reps on projects.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document outcomes.
• Maintain OSHA records and coordinate RTW and case management.
