Job summary

Chaparral Company is seeking a Safety Professional to develop site safety documents and conduct thorough inspections on construction projects in Raleigh, NC. You will assess risks, enforce standards, and communicate safety concerns to ensure regulatory and company compliance.

Responsibilities include daily hazard checks, weekly safety reports, risk mitigation updates, and collaboration with branch staff to uphold a strong safety culture. Travel by car is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years minimum experience in a safety related position.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Strong organizational skills and leadership ability.
• Proficient in using computer software applications (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Develop site specific safety documents and plans.
• Function as the Safety Professional on assigned construction projects, performing standardized safety and quality assessments.
• Oversee construction processes to ensure design compliance and document quality issues.
• Identify and assess potential risks and develop, implement, and update safety protocols.
• Hold daily site inspections for hazards in tools, machinery, and other site equipment.
• Prepare and submit weekly safety reports and update mitigation plans.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and write reports on incidents and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with branch staff to promote and enforce safety culture.
• Must have the availability to travel by car.
