Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA standards and OSHA 30 minimum requirement.
• Ability to access heights via ladders or scaffolding.
• Detail oriented and meticulous in safety documentation.
• Flexibility for on‑call duties and travel across the region.
• Mentoring capability for field staff and safety specialists.
• Proficiency in Word and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to analyze basic data and safety metrics.
• Strong written, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic, site‑based environment.
• Leadership skills to motivate direct reports and teams.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of employees professionally.

Responsibilities

• Supports construction teams by engaging them in dialogue about safety concerns and finding practical proactive solutions.
• Provides training on required documentation from the field teams through the SiteDocs application.
• Assist the Corporate Safety Director as lead in tracking incident metrics and identifying trends.
• Performs safety audits and safety observations on jobsites daily.
• Directs Field Safety Specialists in incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Leads development and delivery of safety training.
• Assist Project Management with SSSP preparation and handoffs.
• Conduct Site Safety Kickoff meetings for new projects in the region.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure uniform safety practices.
• Foster a positive safety culture and lead by example.
