Job summary

HumanGood is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to lead safety programs and risk assessment efforts across communities in the region. The role requires collaboration with executives and community leaders to advance safety standards and emergency preparedness.

Responsibilities include investigations, audits, and training. The candidate must travel frequently within the region, ensuring compliance with OSHA, CMS, and state regulations, while promoting a proactive safety culture across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, healthcare administration, business administration, risk management, or related field
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible safety/RMH experience in safety, healthcare, or senior living
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations

Responsibilities

• Implements safety programs, standards, and improvement initiatives across communities
• Provides consultation on resident and workplace safety, emergency preparedness, loss prevention, and operational risks
• Travels to communities to conduct safety assessments and on-site evaluations; recommends preventive or corrective actions
• Partners with leaders across departments to identify and mitigate safety risks
• Conducts hazard assessments, JHA, ergonomic reviews, and PPE assessments
• Investigates significant injuries, safety events, losses, and fires; facilitates root-cause analyses
• Monitors safety metrics and trends to identify patterns and prevention strategies
• Performs safety audits and regulatory reviews; supports inspections and readiness
• Supports implementation of OSHA, CMS, state licensing, fire authorities, and other agencies
• Delivers safety training and education; reinforces hazard and incident reporting
• Reviews regional safety performance and communicates findings to leadership
• Maintains knowledge of safety practices and regulatory developments
• Travel to HumanGood communities; adapt to varying environments
