Job summary

Safety Management Group seeks a Regional Safety Advisor – Utility Construction in Bluefield, WV to provide comprehensive environmental, health, and safety support for capital construction and maintenance projects across WV, VA, KY, and TN.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to work outdoors in varied conditions, with a 50+ hour weekly expectation and premium pay for non-local assignments.

Qualifications

5+ years of safety experience required.
CUSP Certification within one year of hire date.
Ability to operate vehicles in mountainous terrain.
Able to work outdoors in all reasonable conditions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Contractor safety management program implementation.
Complete quality safety observations with leading indicators.
Establish, build, and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Provide safety leadership for grid enhancement projects.
Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Clarify safety requirements for contractors.
Represent the utility client in meetings.
Prepare reports in a clear and concise manner.
Reinforce safety culture with field crews.
Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
