Job summary

United Utility Services in the United States is seeking a Regional Safety Director to lead safety and health initiatives across an assigned region, partnering with operations leadership and field teams to drive compliance and performance.

In this fast-paced construction environment, you will mentor safety staff, oversee field observations, incident analyses, audits, and customer compliance activities while advancing the company’s safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Electrical Transmission, Distribution, and Substation construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a full-time safety leadership role (Supervisor, Manager, or Director level).
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with a represented workforce.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, utility safety practices, and human performance principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety documentation systems.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned region.
• Safety certifications (OSHA 500, CSP, CUSP, CSHO, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety Program Leadership: Lead regional implementation of corporate safety strategies and programs.
• Team Supervision & Development: Supervise safety representatives assigned to the region; coach performance.
• Field Engagement & Oversight: Conduct and oversee field safety observations, audits, and coaching.
• Incident Management & Analysis: Serve as lead point of contact for significant incidents and analyses.
