James River Hospice is seeking a compassionate RN to join our weekend remote triage team supporting Virginia patients and families. This role focuses on phone assessments, symptom guidance, and coordinating with on-call staff to ensure quality end-of-life care.

As a weekend shift nurse, you’ll triage calls, document interventions, and collaborate with physicians to determine next steps, while enjoying a strong benefits package and the flexibility of remote work.

Qualifications

James River Hospice is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice RN Weekend Triage Nurse to join our growing team! This is a fully remote position supporting hospice patients and families throughout Virginia. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs over the phone, providing clinical guidance, and coordinating with the on-call team to ensure quality patient care.

Schedule: Friday at 5:00 PM until Monday at 8:00 AM (Remote)

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 (Based on experience)

A brief overview of Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming hospice patient and caregiver calls throughout Virginia.
• Assess patient symptoms and concerns over the phone and determine appropriate next steps.
• Provide clinical guidance regarding symptom management, medications, and end-of-life care.
• Coordinate with on-call nurses and physicians when additional care or visits are needed.
• Prioritize calls based on patient needs and urgency.
• Document triage calls, interventions, and follow-up needs accurately.
