Job summary

Dollar General seeks a senior area manager to plan and lead store activities across the assigned area with full P&L responsibility in the Glen Burnie, MD region. You will drive sales growth, optimize inventory, and ensure exceptional customer service across multiple locations.

The role requires 4+ years of retail leadership with multi-unit responsibility, a focus on cost control, recruitment and staff development, and weekly travel in a company vehicle. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Four+ years retail management with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Big-box retail management experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams and ensure a culture aligned with Dollar General's mission and values.
• Drive area sales growth to meet or exceed targets through efficient processes and merchandising.
• Oversee budgeting, expense control, inventory management and loss prevention.
• Recruit, develop, and motivate employees; plan and execute training and development.
• Communicate divisional and regional priorities to store teams and ensure execution.
