Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is hiring a Regional Merchant Lead in the Norfolk area to own the full sales cycle for onboarding new restaurant partners.

You will prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close deals with local and regional merchants, meeting owners in-person and building strong local relationships. You will travel within the region (2–3 days/week on-site) with a hybrid work arrangement and the ability to work remotely some days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of closing sales experience, preferably in outside sales or field roles.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, transaction-focused cycle with quick closes.
• Consistently exceeded KPIs and sales targets through disciplined activity.
• Experience selling multi-product solutions and tailoring pitches per merchant.
• Approach challenges with clear discovery, strong communication, and merchant-first thinking.
• Demonstrated creative outreach tactics to open doors with prospects.
• Proficient with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Chorus, Google Apps).

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle for onboarding new restaurant partners.
• Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close deals with local and regional merchants.
• Meet with restaurant owners, walk-in visits, and build local relationships.
• Present DoorDash offerings and negotiate revenue-share agreements.
• Travel within the region; in-field 2–3 days per week; hybrid with up to 50% travel.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to share market insights and strategies.
