Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Branch Rental Manager to drive rental margin and revenue through vehicle utilization, cost control, and aggressive marketing. You will manage outside sales, customer retention, fleet analysis, and staff development across our Wilkes-Barre, Scranton and Reading locations in PA.

The role emphasizes travel within the territory, daily coordination between sites, and leadership to improve market share and profits while ensuring operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years rental or sales experience required.
• Three+ years rental product line experience including outside sales & rental counter supervision.
• Two+ years experience managing others.

Responsibilities

• Outside Sales/Marketing: set appointments, perform customer retention visits, and overcome objections.
• Personnel Management: recruit, train, and conduct performance appraisals; develop staff.
• Coordinate and maintain data in marketing database; expand relationships with existing customers.
• Maximize rental fleet utilization and ensure assets are managed effectively.
