Job summary

Air Methods in Lone Tree, CO is seeking a Regional Relief Helicopter Pilot. You will transport medical crew and patients, ensuring airworthiness and compliance with FAR, AIM, and GOM in your assigned area.

The role requires extensive flight experience, strong safety culture, and ability to coordinate with the medical flight team across the base network. This position supports a non-standard schedule and base operations in Mountain Time.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• FAA medical and certification requirements applicable to the role

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Performs pre-flight checks and sign-offs daily flight log.
• Maintains familiarity with aircraft and medical systems used at the base.
• Ensures required documentation is completed accurately.
• Conducts thorough flight planning with minimal notice.
• Participates in meetings, projects, and community outreach.
