Job summary

Air Methods Corporation is seeking a Rotor Wing Regional Relief Pilot to cover bases in the Southeast region (FL, GA, SC, TN). The role emphasizes safety, airworthiness, and compliance with FAR/AIM/GOM guidelines to transport medical crew and patients.

Expect extensive flight hours, PIC time, rotor-wing turbine experience, and proactive flight planning with potential 50% travel. This position supports our 24/7 air medical operations and community service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent; 2–5 years related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Flight crew must meet health and age requirements per policy.

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft safely and legally.
• Pre-flight checks and daily sign-off; walkthrough of aircraft.
• Maintain authority over flight operations and safety of passengers and cargo.
• Familiarize medical interior and systems with backup aircraft.
• Complete required documentation and thorough flight planning.
