Job summary

Air Methods is hiring a Regional Relief Helicopter Pilot for coverage across Lone Tree, Holyoke, Hugo, and Thornton bases. The role offers a structured pay scale from 82,900 to 93,251 USD annually with 110% ACCRA and a $25,000 sign-on bonus, plus stipends and relocation support. Mountain time preference noted.

High safety and EMS collaboration are core. Expect demanding flight operations with FAA FAR/AIM compliance, extensive pre-flight procedures, and a focus on work-life balance in a 24/7 EMS

Qualifications

• 2000 total flight hours with a minimum of 1500 in category
• 1000 hours PIC in category
• 500 hours rotor wing turbine
• 200 hours cross-country time, 50+ hours night
• 100 hours unaided night time (or 100 NVG hours)
• Weight limit max 250 pounds, under 70 years old

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft safely and legally
• completes pre-flight checks and sign off Daily Flight Log
• retains final authority for aircraft operations and safety
• familiar with medical interior and systems of backup aircraft
• complete required documentation
• conducts detailed flight planning on short notice
• participates in meetings and community outreach
• performs other duties as assigned
