Job description

Troy University Regional Recruiters are an essential element of the University’s Enrollment Management team. This role will be tasked with supporting Troy Campus traditional freshman and transfer student recruitment efforts in a defined geographic region by implementing recruiting strategies and activities that grow the number of students applying to, being admitted to, and ultimately choosing TROY for enrollment. Duties will include constant contact to prospective students and their families as well as establishing positive relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other sources of potential enrollments. Regional recruiters reside in their assigned geographic areas, but will travel to Troy Campus several times a year for training and professional development activities. (All official travel is covered for reimbursement.)

Minimum Qualifications

• One year of recruiting and/or sales experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Must have transportation and a current driver’s license.
• Candidate must be able to meet and maintain auto insurance eligibility requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree.

Work Hours and Travel

• Extensive travel required, some of which may be overnight.
• Weekends and evening work will also be required.

Physical Demands

• Frequently lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs.
• Frequently traveling within the region.
• Frequently speaking and presenting to groups.
• Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer display, keyboard, and mouse.

Driving Requirements

• Driving is a primary responsibility. The position will require use of a personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart as needed.
