Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill seeks a Regional Real Estate Manager to lead real estate development from site selection to restaurant openings across the designated geography. You will supervise a cross-functional team and manage relationships with landlords, brokers, and attorneys.

Expect frequent collaboration with Operations, Development Directors, and ELT to secure approvals and drive multi-year market plans. Travel across territories is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent in education and experience in real estate, finance, or GIS.
• 5–8 years of experience in the field.
• Minimum of five years of experience with successful QSR real estate site selection in the designated region.
• Able to effectively manage people.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task.
• Able to work independently with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Moderate overnight travel, heavy travel within territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage more than 20 new real estate projects each year from REAT approval to opening.
• Negotiate terms with landlords and coordinate with attorneys on contract status.
• Perform market research to assess real estate site opportunities and align with trade area priorities.
• Lead the Triad team (design & construction) as required.
• Oversee broker relationships and report site tours.
• Deliver executive level presentations to gain approval for new restaurant deals.
• Present market tours with senior leaders before approvals.
• Develop regional and market-level plans with Operations leadership, including multi-year outlook.
• Provide direction for re-zoning, variances, and other real estate development issues.
• Represent Chipotle in industry events and stay updated on real estate developments.
