Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee multiple general contractors across several markets, ensuring projects meet time and budget standards while maintaining Chipotle’s quality and brand standards.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, landlords, and regional teams, conduct QA evaluations, and manage post-turnover activities to support successful restaurant openings nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BA/BS from a 4-year university is preferred.
• 5-8 years’ construction experience with restaurants focusing on end cap and ground up development.
• 3-5 years’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively as required.
• Knowledge of common PC programs: Excel, Word, Reporting Services, Workflow, Tririga.

Responsibilities

• Manage 4 to 8 GCs across markets to meet time commitments and budget requirements for new construction.
• Implement procedures for outsourcing GCs, subs, suppliers, and vendors; ensure proper interpretation and implementation.
• Institute performance evaluations of outsource GCs, subs, suppliers, and vendors.
• Oversee pre-construction landlord delivery progress and 90-day/1-year walks with regional teams.
• Identify, qualify, and train outsource GCs to service all active markets in their regions.
• Negotiate scope and fees of services to meet budgets.
• Promote brand identity with quality fit/finish and adherence to standards; support pre-opening marketing.
• Ensure GC performance and cost-trend tracking; manage related programs.
