Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager to oversee multiple general contractors across regional markets, ensuring restaurants are built to Chipotle’s standards and delivered on time and on budget.

You will lead GC and subcontractor relationships, conduct regular on-site quality checks, manage pre-opening processes, travel extensively, and partner with Facilities, Real Estate and Operations to support new restaurant openings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BA / BS from 4-year University preferred.
• 5-8 years’ construction experience with restaurants focusing on end cap and ground up development.
• 3-5 years’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively as required.
• Be knowledgeable of and have the ability to use a PC to access common programs such as Excel, Word, Reporting Services, Workflow, and Tririga.

Responsibilities

• Managing 4 to 8 GCs in the construction of new Chipotle restaurants to meet time commitments and budget.
• Implementing procedures for outsource GCs, Subs, suppliers, and vendors; ensure proper interpretation and implementation.
• Instituting and conducting performance evaluations of outsource GCs, Subs, suppliers, and vendors.
• Overseeing pre-construction landlord delivery progress and coordinating 90-day and 1-year walks.
• Negotiating scope and fees of services with GCs to meet budgets.
• Promoting brand identity by ensuring quality of fit and finish and adherence to standards.
