Job summary

AvantStay in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our short-term rental properties in the Los Angeles/Malibu and Newport Beach markets. You will lead cross-functional teams and partner with maintenance, housekeeping, and operations to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The role requires 7+ years in property management with multi-site exposure and 4+ years leading teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of property management across multiple sites.
• 4+ years of people management.
• Experience with external stakeholders including vendors and homeowners.
• Strong self-management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for AvantStay properties in the LA/Malibu and Newport Beach markets.
• Lead and delegate tasks to market teams of 1–10 staff.
• Build relationships with property owners and review distribution statements.
• Monitor and resolve guest and homeowner issues within set timeframes.
• Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance tasks across markets.
• Coordinate cross-team evaluations of maintenance, groundskeeping, housekeeping.
• Handle essential administrative duties and assign tasks.
• Conduct regular property inspections for compliance with AvantStay standards.
• Participate in rotating on-call after hours for market support.
