Job summary

Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation (EHDOC) seeks a Regional Manager to direct operations of an assigned portfolio of affordable housing communities. The role emphasizes strong leadership, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and driving NOI across CT, MA, ME, NH, and NY with extensive travel.

The candidate will mentor site personnel, ensure 100% occupancy targets, and manage financial reporting, policy enforcement and vendor oversight in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in affordable housing programs (HUD/LIHTC) and related regulations.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills; mentor and train site staff.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting and NOI optimization.

Responsibilities

• Review and enforce policy for LIHTC, Tax Exempt Bond, HOME, CDBG, HUD 202 and related regulations.
• Plan and conduct training for site personnel on applicable regulations.
• Review rents, income limits and allowances to ensure compliance and report anomalies.
• Review monthly financial statements with Community Managers and assist with budget variance reports.
• Coordinate annual management reviews with regulatory bodies, lenders and investors.
• Conduct on-site file audits and correct discrepancies per policy guidelines.
• Oversee operations of assigned communities and supervise on-site staff.
• Participate in hiring or termination of site staff (excluding Community Manager).
• Ensure occupancy targets and respond to resident requests promptly.
• Develop annual operating budgets and monitor expenditures.
