Job summary

The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) invites a qualified individual to join the Regional Field Office as a Program Operations Specialist 1. You will support Self Direction, Waiver, Housing, Fiscal, and Quality Management units, assisting with planning, development, and execution of services for people with developmental disabilities.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in a human services field and have relevant administrative experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is required.
• One year of related administrative experience may be required for higher levels.
• Professional administrative experience planning, coordinating, monitoring or evaluating services for people with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, reviewing, and processing SART requests and waiver services.
• Represent the Regional Field Office in meetings regarding OPWDD services and changes in delivery systems.
• Support regional quality reviews and ensure compliance with OPWDD policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Care Coordination Organizations and providers; assist in training and communication.
